Compatibility to earlier versions
The device data update can update a certain version of the software product. The previous versions (up to GU9) of the device data update required the most current Service Pack for installation of DDS and GDC. As of GU10 only the current sub-status of these programs is required. The device data update installs device data from maybe not installed Service Packs.
