Compatibility with earlier versions
The device data update can only update a specific software product version. The previous device data update versions (up to GU9) always required the latest service pack for the installation for DDS and GDC. As of GU10, only the latest subversion of these programs will be required. Device data from service packs which have not been installed, if any, will be installed by the device data update.
