Parameters of I/O 1000 modules are reset (corrected from V3.12)
Corrected from:
PLC Designer V3.12
Response of the new version:
When adding another I/O 1000 module to a bus coupler in the project, the parameter settings of the other I/O modules connected to the bus coupler will remain unchanged.
What happens?
The parameters of all modules connected to a bus coupler are reset to their standard values.
When does this behaviour occur?
The behaviour occurs if the PLC project contains an EtherCAT bus coupler module to which parameterised I/O 1000 modules are connected. As soon as another I/O 1000 module is added to the bus coupler, the parameters of the other I/O 1000 modules connected to the bus coupler are reset to their standard values.
Which products are affected?
PLC Designer V3.0 and higher
EPM-S130 (I/O system 1000: EtherCAT bus coupler)
Short-term measures:
Insert all I/O 1000 modules into your PLC project before parameterising the modules.
If you want to add an I/O 1000 module later, export the device parameters before importing the module and import them again after inserting the new module.
Evaluation/recommendations:
When inserting an I/O1000 module connected to an EtherCAT bus coupler into a PLC project, the parameters of the other modules are reset to their standard values. Under "Short-term measures" you are informed how to insert new modules without losing the selected parameter settings.
