EPM-S130: Descriptions of the variables in the EtherCAT I/O mapping are reset (corrected from V3.14)

Corrected from:
PLC Designer V3.14

Response of the new version:
If the I/O configuration of an I/O 1000 EtherCAT bus coupler is changed, variable descriptions (comments) that have already been entered in the "EtherCAT I/O mapping" tab, will not be changed.

What happens?
The descriptions (comments) of the variables in the "EtherCAT I/O mapping" tab of the I/O 1000 EtherCAT EPM-S130 bus coupler are reset to their default texts.

When does this behaviour occur?
The above-described behaviour occurs if the existing I/O configuration is changed, i.e. if I/O modules are added to or deleted from the EtherCAT bus coupler.

Which products are affected?
PLC Designer from V3.0
EPM-S130 (I/O 1000 EtherCAT bus coupler)

Short-term measures/recommendations:
None

Evaluation:
To make the project easier to understand, you can add comments to the variables in the EtherCAT I/O mapping in the "Description" column. If I/O modules are deleted from or added to the EtherCAT bus coupler later on, the comments are reset to their default texts.
I/O modules connected to the CANopen or Profibus bus couplers (EPM-S110 and EPM-S120) are not affected by this function restriction.
