Negative ENUM values cannot be entered via the visualisation (corrected from V3.15)
Corrected from:
PLC Designer V3.15.00
Response of the new version:
In the PLC Designer visualisation, you can enter negative values in variables using an ENUM data type.
What happens?
In the PLC Designer visualisation, negative values cannot be entered in variables using an ENUM data type.
When does this behaviour occur?
The user-defined ENUM data type is an enumeration data type. It consists of several identifiers called enumeration values. To each enumeration value you can assign an integer initial value. In the PLC Designer visualisation, variables using an ENUM data type can be changed by entering an enumeration value or its initial value.
If the ENUM data type has an enumeration value with a negative initialisation value, the value is not taken over in the variable using this data type when the negative value is entered.
Which products are affected?
PLC Designer from V3.12
Short-term measures:
Do not enter the negative value, but the enumeration value (identifier) in the PLC Designer visualisation.
Evaluation/recommendations:
In the PLC Designer visualisation, you cannot write negative values to variables using an ENUM data type.
This function restriction applies to some Lenze technology modules and some FAST Motion function blocks. An applicative solution is described under 'Short-term measures'.
