After updating an EPM-S110, the I/O modules no longer behave as set (corrected from V3.15)
Corrected from:
PLC Designer V3.15
Response of the new version:
When updating an I/O 1000 CANopen EPM-S110 bus coupler in a PLC project, the parameters of the connected I/O modules remain unchanged.
What happens?
I/O 1000 modules do not behave as set.
When does this behaviour occur?
After updating the I/O 1000 EPM-S110 CANopen bus coupler in the device tree of the PLC Designer (Update device context menu command) to version V1.14.0.5 or higher, the parameters of the connected I/O modules are changed.
Which products are affected? PLC Designer from V3.13
Short-term measures: Do not update the EPM-S110 CANopen bus coupler in the device tree of the PLC Designer, but newly insert the new EPM-S110 version and newly parameterise the I/O modules.
If the function restriction has already occurred, delete the CANopen bus coupler concerned with all I/O modules and reinsert them.
Evaluation/recommendations:
By updating the EPM-S110 CANopen bus coupler in the PLC Designer project, the parameters of the I/O modules connected to the bus coupler change. In general, the bus coupler need not be updated while the machine is in operation. Since the PLC Designer by default inserts the latest CANopen bus coupler version into the PLC project, new projects are less affected by this function restriction.
