ST editor: New functions

Function extension:

The functions of the programming language editor for Structured Text (ST) have been extended as follows:

  • Zoom function
    Just like the editors for the graphical programming languages, the editors for the programming languages Instruction List (IL) and Structured Text (ST) support the zoom function. The zoom factor can either be changed via the zoom button in lower right corner of the editor or by scrolling the mouse wheel while pressing Ctrl (<Ctrl>+<mouse wheel>).
  • New pragma instruction {region ?xxx‘}
    The new pragma instruction {region ?xxx‘} can be used to define sections in the ST editor which can be unfolded or folded by a mouse-click on the plus- resp. minus-sign on the left side of the folds header line.
    The syntax is as follows:

    {region 'Description'}
    //code
    {endregion}

    The pragma instruction only shows effect if the 'Folding' option in the Options (menu Tools>Options) in the category 'Text Editor' is set to 'Indent'.
    With the new pragma instruction, the logic in the ST editor can be arranged more clearly since sensible logic sections can be folded.
