VisiWinNET Smart Development - Translation Manager: Error message when exporting to Excel

Corrected from:
Microsoft Patchday from November 2017
Response of the new version:
No restrictions when exporting languages via the VisiWinNET translation manager

What happens:

Microsoft patches from October 2017 currently prevent exporting text using the translation manager to the Excel format.
The following error message appears when exporting to Excel:

An unexpected error has occurred:
Unexpected error from external database provider(1).

Further information can be found in the log file:
C:\Users\<Your User Name>\AppData\Local\Inosoft GmbH\VisiWinNET\2005\VisiWinNET.Smart.log

When does this behaviour occur?

When exporting texts through the translation manager.

Which products are effected?

All versions of VisiWinNET Smart and VisiWinNET Professional.

Short-term measures:

Currently you can only export to XLIFF or CSV format or uninstall the patches.
Both export formats can be selected when selecting the export file in the "file type" combo box.

Another alternative is the clipboard: open Excel, use translation manager-> button "To Clipboard", Excel-> Insert.

These are the patches listed below:

? Security updates for Microsoft Windows (KB4041678)
? Security updates for Microsoft Windows (KB4041681)

Basically, we recommend not to uninstall any security-relevant patches!

Unless otherwise, you can uninstall the patches in Windows 7.
This is also the case with Windows 10, but the patches are automatically reinstalled by Windows 10.

Evaluation/recommendation:

The error is described for many other software packages in numerous forums.
Therefore, we are confident that it will work with the next patch day from Microsoft.
