Function extension:
The 'Online Change Memory Reserve Settings' menu command ('View' menu) allows you to configure a memory reserve for online changes for function blocks. When the memory size of a function block increases, e.g. by adding variables in the declaration, the PLC Designer checks during the online change whether the selected memory reserve is sufficient. If this is the case, the FB instance(s) will not be copied to new memory locations. The online change is faster. When the configured memory reserve has been used up, as before, a corresponding message will be displayed before the online change is made.
