ESI file for i950 does not comply with ETG conformance (fixed from V3.21)
Corrected from:
PLC Designer V3.21
Response of the new version:
The ESI file for the Servo Inverter i950 is created correctly with the EASY export according to the ETG Conformance.
What happens?
With the exported EtherCAT device description file (ESI file) no connection can be established between an i950 Servo Inverter and a non-Lenze controller.
When does the behaviour occur?
The ESI file exported with PLC Designer (menu command Project > EASY Export, option "Ethercat device description (*.xml)") does not comply with ETG Conformance:
Tabs are replaced by spaces.
Tags without content (e.g. <info></info>) have a line break inserted.
The checksum for the SafetyPDO is not correct.
Which products are affected?
PLC Designer from 3.0
Short-term measures:
Edit the exported ESI file manually.
Evaluation/Recommendations:
If an i950 Servo Inverter is operated via EtherCAT on a non-Lenze controller, then the necessary device description, which can be exported with the PLC Designer, must be reworked manually.
