The configuration files required for the modular machine configuration (=MMC) (mmc-0-conf.csv and mmc-0-indent.csv) can be saved in the PLC Designer project and downloaded to the Lenze Controller or Lenze Servo Inverter using PLC Designer. To do this, the files must be inserted as 'External file' embedded in the PLC Designer project (context menu 'Add object'>'External file'):
If an LFL file (e.g. for Lenze Controller 3200C) or an LDA file (e.g. for Servo Inverter i950) is exported with PLC Designer (menu 'Project'>'EASY Export'), then the configuration files are also contained in this exported file. The modular machine configuration (optional EtherCAT participants) makes it possible to use only one project for different machine variants (maximum configuration). Machine parts can be selected by configuration - without code change. The sequence of the EtherCAT devices in the PLC Designer project does not have to correspond to the physical sequence on the fieldbus. In the event of an error with one or more devices, the machine can continue to run in a defined constellation.
