Error message: The task name is limited to 19 characters (corrected from V3.26)

Corrected from:
PLC Designer V3.26

Response of the new version:
Using the current controller device description in the current PLC Designer version, the task name is limited to 50 characters:
  • Cabinet Controller c300, 3200C: ab V3.21.3.14
  • Cabinet Controller c520, c550: ab V1.9.0.29
  • Panel Conroller p300, p500: ab V3.21.3.14
The tasks created automatically by PLC Designer have names with less than 50 characters. Thus no error message occurs when compiling the project.

What happens?
When translating, the following error message appears in the message window:
<TaskName>: The task name is limited to 19 characters.

When does the behaviour occur?
The message appears when task names (e.g. the automatically created task for an EtherNet/IP Adapter) take more than 19 characters. With the compiler version V3.5.16.0 the check of the length of the task names was tightened.
When updating the 'Device' (Controller or Servo Inverter i950), a newer compiler version may also be required. This means that this error message can also occur when updating an older PLC Designer project.

Which products are affected?
PLC Designer from V3.22

Short-term measures:
Shorten the task name to a maximum of 19 characters.

Evaluation/Recommendations:
The PLC Designer limits the manual input of task names to 19. The restriction only occurs when tasks are created by the PLC Designer itself, e.g. when inserting an EtherNet/IP adapter. Projects created with an older version of the PLC Designer can still be translated without errors as long as the project is not updated.
