What happens?
Parameterisation of an IO1000 analogue module is not accepted.

When does the behaviour occur?
The measuring range "4...20 mA / 16384" cannot be set if
  • on the IO1000 analogue modules that support this mode and
  • have been connected to the CANopen bus coupler EPM-S110 and
  • have been parameterised in a PLC Designer project.
Which products are affected?
PLC Designer from V3.23

EPM-S402: 2 analogue inputs 0/4 ... 20 mA (12 bit)
EPM-S403: 4 analogue inputs 0/4 ... 20 mA (12 bit)
EPM-S408: 2 analogue inputs 0/4 ... 20 mA (16 bit)
EPM-S502: 2 analogue outputs 0/4 ... 20 mA (12 bit)
EPM-S503: 4 analogue outputs 0/4 ... 20 mA (12 bit)

Short-term measures / evaluation / recommendations:
  • Connect the IO1000 analogue modules to the EtherCAT of the controller via the EPM-S131 bus coupler.
  • If a connection via CAN is necessary, use the measuring range "0...20 mA / 16384".
In most PLC projects, the onboard EtherCAT interface is used for Lenze controllers. In this case, the function restriction does not occur.
